Chisel Barn is a lovely barn conversion in the northeast corner of the Dorset AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) between Blandford Forum, Sturminster Newton and Shaftesbury. With wonderful 360° views, the Barn sits under Hambledon Hill looking down onto the River Stour.

Chisel Barn consists of two light and airy properties, Fox Ditch and Whites Ground, which can be rented together or separately.  A third property Top Cottage, added in 2023, sits next to them. In total we can sleep 12 spread over the three units.

Fox Ditch (sleeps 4) and Whites Ground (sleeps 6) have large double height kitchens and living space and both are furnished to the highest of standards, offering pretty and comfortable holiday accommodation. They have retained the original barn features including exposed beams, but also offer contemporary levels of comfort including double glazing and underfloor heating. Each has its own enclosed garden (secure for dogs) with table and chairs and space to barbeque.

Top Cottage is a new-build one bedroom annexe flat (sleeps 2). Adjoining our own house it has a private entrance next to Chisel Barn. It is generous and very comfortable, it is lovely as a stand-alone, but also makes an excellent extra bedroom and space for either or both of the other lets.
